MSP PRAISES FIFE’S POSTIES AT CHRISTMAS

Fife MSP, Jenny Gilruth, paid a visit to Leven’s Royal Mail Depot to meet with staff ahead of Christmas. The local politician was keen to pay tribute to the dedicated workers who make sure our cards and parcels arrive on time – all year round.

Jenny Gilruth MSP met with the Leven Depot manager, John Norman, and was taken on a site visit to learn more about the postal sorting process.

Following the visit, Jenny Gilruth MSP commented:

“It was great to meet the hard working Royal Mail team based in Leven. I am especially appreciative of their efforts at this time of year, but throughout the seasons the dedication of our posties is to be commended.

My constituency covers a lot of rural areas in the Leven area; I am indebted to those posties who quite literally go the extra mile to ensure my constituents receive their cards and parcels on time’.

Manager John Norman praised his team, commenting –

“I’d like to say thanks to my whole team not just for their great effort over Christmas, but their work thought out the whole year. The staff that are here have been putting in a huge amount of effort to keep everything running.”

The final date for Christmas posting is Tuesday the 18th for 2nd class, Thursday 20th December for first class, Friday the 21st for Royal Mail Tracked delivery and Saturday the 22nd for Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed.
