MOTION WELCOMING KINGDOM FM LOCAL HERO AWARDS

Mid Fife and Glenrothes MSP has lodged a motion asking the Scottish Parliament to welcome the launch of the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards 2017.

The full motion text reads: That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards 2017; notes that nominations are invited from members of the public and that the awards are open to anyone who lives in Fife; recognises that the range of diverse categories, including child of achievement, fundraiser of the year, sports person of the year, best school, new business start-up, carer of the year, volunteer of the year, best community, best neighbour, home grown talent as well as the main Local Hero Award 2017; commends Kingdom FM for organising the annual awards with the support of all local sponsors; considers that the awards demonstrate an excellent platform to showcase and recognise the invaluable volunteer work, dedication, efforts and achievements of so many individuals in Fife, and urges people across the Kingdom to nominate individuals who make a difference and go that extra mile in their communities.
