MOTION TO WELCOME RELAUNCH OF LARGO LIBRARY & COMMUNITY HUB

Published date : 27 Apr 2017

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-05366) asking the Scottish Parliament to welcome the relaunch of Largo Library and Community Hub by volunteers to preserve their local library and community services.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament congratulates the Largo Library steering group on the relaunch of the Largo Library and Community Hub; notes that this follows months of work by a team of volunteers to take over the service, which was previously run by the Fife Cultural Trust; recognises the importance that libraries play in communities; understands that there are plans for the hub to run after-school clubs and establish a heritage section, which will display the history of the area, and wishes Emily Macdonald and her colleagues on the steering group every success.”
