MOTION TO CONGRATULATE LETHAM GLEN WINNING A GREEN FLAG AWARD

Published date : 19 Jul 2017

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-06796: “Green Flag for Letham Glen, Leven”) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate Letham Glen in Leven on winning a Green Flag award from Keep Scotland Beautiful.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament congratulates the staff and management at Letham Glen in Leven on being awarded a Green Flag by Keep Scotland Beautiful in recognition of the area’s high standards and quality; understands that it was of seven Fife Council-run facilities chosen to receive the status, which is given to parks and green spaces that demonstrate excellent management and environmental standards; believe that this is also a recognition of the benefits that the park brings to the community, including through promoting exercise and improving mental wellbeing, and hopes that this award will encourage more people to enjoy making use of Letham Glen.”
