MOTION TO CONGRATULATE FIFE VOLUNTEERING AWARD WINNERS

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-06091: The Fife Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards 2017) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the Mid Fife and Glenrothes constituency-based winners at the Fife Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards 2017.

The motion text reads:

"That the Parliament congratulates the Mid Fife and Glenrothes constituency-based winners at the Fife Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards 2017, which were presented on 7 June; notes that Carol Humbert and Charlotte Liddell, from Fife Gingerbread, were named as the Trustee/Board Member of the Year and the Young Volunteer of the Year respectively, Andy and Jennifer Gill of Love Oliver, won the Inspirational Volunteers of the Year award, Leanne Campbell, from St Paul’s RC Primary School in Glenrothes, was presented with the Active Volunteer of the Year title, and Glenrothes Foodbank won the Reducing Inequalities award; further congratulates the other winners, including the Fife Young Families’ Money Advice Project, which won the Partnership of the Year title, the B:Activ Project, which was named as the Active Organisation of the Year, and Youth 1st, which won the Organisation of the Year award; welcomes the recognition that these awards give to the outstanding efforts of volunteers and voluntary organisations and projects in Fife, and wishes all of the winning volunteers and organisations, and the other nominees, the very best in their volunteering efforts."
