JENNY GILRUTH MSP TO HOLD SURGERIES AT NEW VENUES ON “SUMMER TOUR”

Published date : 03 Aug 2017

LOCAL MSP TO VISIT NEW AREAS IN CONSTITUENCY ON FRIDAY 11th AUGUST

Jenny Gilruth, MSP for Mid Fife & Glenrothes will hold surgeries throughout the constituency in three new locations for the first time in a bid to be more accessible to local constituents.

The Mid Fife & Glenrothes MSP has announced a new “tour day” on Friday 11th August. Jenny will be holding surgeries in Upper Largo, Kinglassie and Lundin Links for the first time, as well as holding her first surgery at St Ninian’s Café at the Glenwood Centre in Glenrothes.

Jenny previously held an Easter “tour” event on Monday 10th April, holding multiple surgeries in Kennoway, Windygates, Leslie, Coaltown of Balgonie, Thornton and Stention for the first time.

Commenting, Jenny Gilruth MSP said:

“Since I was first elected in May 2016, I’ve held regular surgeries in Glenrothes, Markinch and Leven. However, not everyone has the ability to travel as easily as others, as some constituents will have issues with mobility or limited transport.

“As such, I’m looking forward to expanding the locations where I host my surgeries on this tour day. I hope that by travelling to new locations I will encourage more constituents across Mid Fife & Glenrothes to come forward with any issues that I may be able to help with as an MSP.”
