GLENROTHES MSP DEMANDS ANSWERS IN RESPONSE TO ANNOUNCEMENT OF PRIMARY CARE OUT OF HOURS SERVICE

Publised date : 05 Apr 2018

Jenny Gilruth MSP has reacted fiercely to the announcement that three local out of ours service are to close with effect from Monday 9th April, including Glenrothes.

The MSP for Mid Fife & Glenrothes Is demanding answers from Michael Kellett, Head of Health  &  Social Care Partnership in Fife following his decision to close the out of hours service in Glenrothes.

The MSP says -

“I know that my constituents and I are not prepared to have Glenrothes out of hours service closed by stealth.  I recall in 2013/14 the whole community came together to demand the service be retained in Glenrothes.  This appears to be a case of history repeating itself and is not acceptable”

A copy of Ms Gilruth’s letter in response is attached.
