GILRUTH RAISES GLASS TO GLENROTHES BREWERS’ SUCCESS

Glenrothes MSP, Jenny Gilruth, met with company directors at the Coul Brewing Company at their premises in Glenrothes last week.

Coul Brewing Company is a new microbrewery based in Glenrothes, launching a range of craft beers this summer. It was created by Glenrothes based brewer Andrew Dean and his family.

The craft beer company were one of nine local breweries to be represented at the Kingdom of Fife Real Ale Festival earlier this year, scooping the third place in the Champion of Beer category.

Commenting after the visit, the MSP said:

‘I was delighted to visit the home of Coul Brewing in Glenrothes. It was a great opportunity to meet with Andy and the team again following their success at the CAMRA festival last month. It was also fascinating to learn more about the brewing process – and of course to sample some of the final product!’

Andrew Dean of Coul Brewing Company added:

“We were delighted to host Jenny Gilruth MSP as our first official visitor to the brewery.

“Jenny showed a keen interest in our new business and products. It is always a challenge to launch a new business in uncertain times and we are grateful for the enthusiasm and support of our local MSP and her office.

“We believe the support of local representatives is a huge boost local enterprises, particularly start-ups. It gives us more confidence to launch our business and bring a thriving craft beer presence to Glenrothes.”
