BEWARE OF BOGUS WORKMEN, MSP WARNS CONSTITUENTS

Published date : 10 Jan 2017

Jenny Gilruth, MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes is warning her constituents to beware of bogus callers operating in her constituency.

Glenrothes Police are currently investigating suspected bogus callers operating in the Brunton Quadrant area of Glenrothes. This follows similar incidents reported in Levenmouth last month.

Ms Gilruth said: “I would advise all constituents to please be vigilant and to always ask for and check ID if individuals claiming to be workmen call at their homes.

“Anyone who needs a job done but is worried about bogus callers can contact Trusted Trader at: www.fifedirect.org.uk/trustedtrader or telephone 01592 583141.”

To report a crime to Police Scotland dial 101.
