MOTION WELCOMING FUNDING FOR FIFE WOMEN'S AID

MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes, Jenny Gilruth has lodged a motion asking the Scottish Parliament to welcome the recent £197,142 Big Lottery funding awarded to Fife Women's Aid.

The full wording of the motion reads:

"That the Parliament welcomes the recent £197,142 Big Lottery Fund award that has been given to Fife Women's Aid; recognises that this vital grant will allow it to continue to support women affected by domestic abuse, including those at the highest risk, through its working with key agencies, such as Police Scotland and NHS Fife; understands that it will work with 500 people over the next two years and help them in producing action plans that will aim to ensure that they receive the support that they need to recover, grow and develop, and wishes everyone involved with Fife Womens' Aid continued success."
