MOTION TO CONGRATULATE THE BEACH CREW SUMMER YOUTH PROJECT

Publised date : 26 Jul 2017

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-06862: "Beach Crew Summer Youth Project") asking the Scottish Parliament to welcome the efforts of the Beach Crew youth project in Leven.

The motion text reads:

"That the Parliament applauds the efforts of the new summer youth project set up by a group of young volunteers in Levenmouth, Beach Crew; understands that the group, which is based at an old putting green hut on the promenade, will run a series of evening activities, including sports and crafts, for 12- to 18-year-olds during the summer break; welcomes its ambition of continuing the project in future, including potentially working towards introducing a dedicated youth centre in the town; hopes that the young people in the area will fully engage with Breach Crew, and wishes the group a successful summer period and every success in its future endeavours."
