MOTION TO CONGRATULATE DOCUMENTOR LAURA WADHA ON HER SHORT FILM SUCCESS

Jenny Gilruh MSP has lodged motion S5M-08422 to congratulate Laura Washa for being chosen out of thousands to screen her documentary at the Aethetica Short Film Festival.

Motion Text:

That the Parliament congratulates Laura Wadha, who is student from Glenrothes, on the planned screening of her documentary, Flight, at the 2017 Aesthetica Short Film Festival in November; understands the short film was chosen from thousands of entries, with previous alumni having gone on to win Academy Awards and BAFTAs; acknowledges that Laura, who has recently been accepted into the National Film and Television School in London, has previously been nominated for awards, including the BAFTA in Scotland New Talent Award 2014 and at the Creative Loop Awards, and wishes her every success.
