MOTION LODGED IN RECOGNITION OF WORK OF LOCAL ANTI-SMOKING GROUPS

Publised date : 06 Dec 2016

Mid Fife and Glenrothes MSP Jenny Gilruth has lodged a Parliamentary Motion in support of the dedicated efforts of local groups in helping to reduce smoking across her constituency and beyond.

Ms Gilruth's motion reads:

"That the Parliament congratulates everyone at A Life Explored on its national recognition at the Tobacco Free Generation Awards, which were held recently by ASH Scotland; notes that these awards recognise initiatives that aim to help reduce smoking and make Scotland a smoke-free place; recognises that A Life Explored works hard to achieve a tobacco-free environment, including developing a smoke-free policy for the children and adults that it cares for, and welcomes the hard work being done toward this by the staff, service users and visitors to its premises."
