Motion - Lloyd's Legacy Helps Patients at the Victoria Hospital

Publised date : 27 Apr 2018

That the Parliament congratulates the family of the late Glenrothes community fundraiser, Lloyd George, on fundraising in his memory, enabling them to buy two patient transport devices; notes that Lloyd's dying request was to buy vital equipment for the Victoria Hospital, after he had a short stay there in 2017, during which he noticed that the ward only had one "cricket" patient transport aid; acknowledges that Lloyd began fundraising for more transport equipment before his passing; recognises that his family donated the two devices to Victoria Hospital's Ward 42; commends Lloyd and his family's good will and fundraising efforts through charity football games and quizzes for the community, and wishes the family every success with any future fundraising efforts.
