Motion - Leslie Road Underpass Transformed by YMCA

Publised date : 27 Jun 2019

That the Parliament commends the efforts of a group of young YMCA residents who have given a neglected underpass in Glenrothes a new lease of life by transforming it into a vibrant work of art; notes that Fife College Access to Further Education students helped out with the project, which has been designed to show the plight of young homeless people; understands that the eight young men and women were assisted by the professional artist, Ian Tayac, in spray painting their designs to show the plight of homeless people in 2019 and showing YMCA as the "light at the end of the tunnel"; acknowledges that the project secured funding from the Glenrothes Area Committee, and wishes all those involved the very best for their futures.
