Motion - Kingdom Housing Association's Construction Academy Gets Under Way

Publised date : 13 Jun 2019

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Kingdom Housing Association’s construction academy, which helps unemployed people learn construction skills, gets underway in June 2019 as part of the association’s affordable housing development programme, in which the Kingdom Works team is working in collaboration with Campion Homes to deliver the academy; notes that the academy lasts four weeks and will help 12 unemployed people gain both relevant construction training and a two-week work placement at one of Campion’s Fife sites; understands that recruitment was carried out through partnership working with local DWP colleagues and Fife-ETC partners, and was aimed at people aged over 18 with a genuine interest in working within the construction industry, and wishes the trainees and the organisers the best of luck with the academy.
