Motion - Just Bee Cause Winners, Glenrothes

Publised date : 02 Oct 2019

That the Parliament congratulates Rainbow Nursery, Southwood Primary School and Glenwood High School in Glenrothes on each winning £500 from the Just Bee Cause project, which was run by the Kingdom Shopping Centre, to highlight to young people the importance of bees to the ecosystem; notes that a number of schools and nurseries from across Glenrothes were visited by the charity, Bee Buddies, to educate pupils about bees; acknowledges that the schools then took part in an art project, which saw them decorating recycled wooden honeycomb cells with bees as a theme; notes that this art was then installed in the shopping centre over summer 2019 and was subject to a public vote, and congratulates Rainbow Nursery, Southwood Primary and Glenwood High for their involvement and subsequent £500 wins.
