Title: Jodie Chalk Wins the Scottish National CB500

Motion Text:

That the Parliament congratulates Jodie Chalk , who is a biker from Glenrothes, on making history at the Scottish National CB500 Championship by becoming the first female winner; understands that Jodie, who holds lap records at both the Knockhill and East Fortune tracks, has won the Donnington 500 Grand Prix and the prestigious Straiton Trophy, which was previously held by the 11-time Isle of Man TT champion, the late Steve Hislop; notes that she is a two-time winner of the Thunder Sport Superbike Scottish Championship and has been runner-up in the British Championship; commends Jodie's rise to prominence in what it sees as a male-dominated sport; acknowledges that her story has captured the imagination of the filmmaker from Fife, Alex Harron, who has made a documentary about her titled, The Racer; and wishes Jodie continued success in her career.
