Motion - Inspirational Katie Pake Launches Stand Up To Cancer Campaign

Motion Text:

That the Parliament congratulates 10-year-old Katie Pake, from Coaltown of Balgonie, on being selected to launch the Stand Up To Cancer campaign in Scotland; recognises the incredible determination of the youngster who it understands has endured pioneering surgery to help her walk again after losing her leg to cancer; notes that Katie, a talented football player, aims to get back on the pitch in the near future to play alongside her teammates at Raith Rovers Ladies and Girls FC; understands that Stand Up To Cancer has raised more than £38 million across the UK since it was launched in 2012, and encourages people across Scotland to support and donate to the campaign throughout October 2018.
