Motion - Hard Knocks at Auchmuty High School

Publised date : 23 Oct 2018

Motion Text:

That the Parliament acknowledges that 40 children at Auchmuty High School have been taking part in the School of Hard Knocks, a rugby project aimed at getting kids more engaged at school in which, once a week, the children receive one hour of rugby training and one hour of personal development, as well as being able to access one-to-one sessions; notes that 20 girls and 20 boys from S2 all benefit from the project, which also aims to organise one friendly rugby match per term; understands that the success of the year-long project is assessed through different criteria, including fitness tests, attendance rates and evaluation forms completed by the children, and wishes the school continued success with the Hard Knocks project.
