Kingdom Plugged In to Showcase Musicians

Publised date : 22 Feb 2019

Motion Text:

That the Parliament commends the efforts of eight pupils from Glenrothes High School on organising a showcase featuring some of Fife’s best musicians, which will be hosted at ONFife Rothes Halls; notes that the show, Kingdom Plugged In, will take place on 9 March 2019, and will see local musicians play on a stage that has been graced by many pop and indie icons, such as Biffy Clyro, Belinda Carlisle and Stereophonics; understands that the event is part of a new creative skills initiative by ONFife Cultural Trust, Dark Days, which provides school pupils with hands-on training and experience in all areas of technical theatre and event management, including training from the professional recording studio, Substation; acknowledges that the training is designed to help young people pursue careers in music and theatre, and wishes everyone involved the best of luck with the event and with their future careers.
