PITCOUDIE PUPILS TALK POLITICS WITH LOCAL MSP

Published date : 03 Feb 2017

Politics was the order of the day at Pitcoudie Primary School this week when Mid Fife and Glenrothes MSP Jenny Gilruth visited Primary 7 pupils to discuss her role at the Scottish Parliament.

Ms Gilruth took part in a question and answer session with the youngsters who have been researching politics as part of a class project and also helped them with a group task where they were asked to come up with a name for a political party and outline their policies.

Speaking afterwards Ms Gilruth said: “During the Q&A I was asked about my job as the MSP for Glenrothes and the work of the Scottish Parliament. I was also asked questions on a variety of subjects from Trump to Brexit and was very impressed by the knowledge of every single pupil I spoke to.”
