Published date : 28 Feb 2017
Two groups in the Mid Fife and Glenrothes constituency are to share £19,874 of National Lottery Funding.
Options in Life, which runs a social inclusion and skills development project for adults aged 18-30 with learning disablities across Fife has received a £10,000 Awards for All grant. The funding will be used to introduce a cooking programme which will run two evenings per week.
Dovecot Park Bowling Club in Glenrothes has also received an Awards for All grant. The club will use the £9,874 cash boost to upgrade their current toilet facilities and improve access to ensure the venue is accessible to all.
Awards For All Scotland gives groups a chance to apply for a grant of between £500 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.
An Awards for All spokesman, said: “These grants are a great way to show the variety of projects that can be funded through Awards for All.
“We are always surprised at the difference a relatively small amount of money can make and these awards clearly show how National Lottery money is helping to change lives across Scotland’s communities.”
Applications are received on a rolling basis and can be received at any time. Groups can download a form at: www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/awardsforallscotland
