MOTION TO CONGRATULATE COLLYDEAN COMMUNITY KITCHEN
Published date : 04 Aug 2017
Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-07032: “Collydean Community Council”) asking the Scottish Parliament to welcome the new Collydean Community Kitchen pilot in Glenrothes.
The motion text reads:
“That the Parliament welcomes the new Collydean Community Kitchen at the Collydean Neighbourhood Centre in Glenrothes; understands that the new service has been set up after receiving £3,000 as part of a Starter for Ten scheme run by Fife Council, which gave residents in Cadham and Collydean an opportunity to vote on how to utilise £10,000 of funding in their area; understands that the kitchen will serve food, offer a lunch club for older local residents, provide access to a Fife Council Housing Officer to meet and discuss issues with residents and hopes to introduce Wi-Fi access for service users; commends the efforts of the charity in establishing this new service; welcomes the support offered by Glen Housing Association, and wishes every success to the trial going forward.”
