MOTION TO COMMEND GIRLGUIDING SCOTLAND’S 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM CAMPAIGN

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-09415: “Girlguiding Scotland’s 16 Days of Activism Campaign”) asking the Scottish Parliament to commend the campaigning work led by Girlguiding Scotland members to raise awareness of gender based violence & it’s impact on girls’ and young women’s lives in Scotland.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament commends the campaigning work led by Girlguiding Scotland members to raise awareness of gender-based violence and the impact of this on girls’ and young women’s lives in Scotland and around the globe, and recognises that as the leading charity for girls and young women in Scotland, with 50,000 members, Girlguiding Scotland is committed to empowering all girls and young women to speak out and take action on the issues that matter to them.”
