JENNY GILRUTH RAISES QUESTION ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY’S LINKS WITH EDUCATION SCOTLAND

Published date : 15 Nov 2016

During a discussion at today’s Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee about the Scottish Government’s draft budget for 2017-18 Jenny Gilruth MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes asked the panel whether or not the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) had worked with Education Scotland before, specifically with regards to curriculum formation.

Ms Gilruth raised the issue because, she said, it contributed to the Scottish Government’s focus on closing the attainment gap.

The panel responded by stating that SEPA had worked with Education Scotland on assessing equality in schools and curriculums.
