A CRACKING EASTER EGG ROLL!
Published date : 19 Apr 2019
This week Glenrothes MSP, Jenny Gilruth, joined Rainbow Nursery on their Easter Family Wellie Walk before taking part in some traditional egg rolling, ahead of Easter Sunday. The local politician joined the toddlers and staff as they walked along Boblinglen Way and on to Warout Stadium.
Manager of Rainbow Nursery, Nikki Webster, commented:
“We were delighted to have our supportive local MSP along with us on our Wellie Walk.
Our team believe in the importance of outdoor learning as an essential part of a child’s development – something which will stimulate creativeness and imaginative play and will also help improve social skills and co-operation.”
Glenrothes MSP, Jenny Gilruth, added:
“It was a privilege to join the toddlers and parents as part of Rainbow Nursery’s ‘wellie walk’ this week.
Outdoor learning is such a vital part of children’s development and I know how seriously this is taken at Rainbow. I’d like to commend Nikki and her hardworking team for all they do to support the learning and development of children at Rainbow Nursery.”
By 2020 the Scottish Government have committed to increase the hours of free early learning and childcare from 600 to 1,140 hours per year, to further reduce barriers preventing parents from working.
