MOTION TO CONGRATULATE NEW DEPUTY PROVOST OF FIFE

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-05679) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the newly-appointed Deputy Provost of Fife, Julie Ford.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament congratulates Julie Ford on being appointed the new Depute Provost of Fife on 18 May 2017 by her colleagues in Fife Council; understands that Julie was recently re-elected to represent the Glenrothes West and Kinglassie ward as a councillor in Fife Council; recognises that she will support the Provost of Fife in his civic duties to promote the values of the Kingdom of Fife and enhance its reputation; believes her to be the youngest elected Depute Provost in the history of the council, and wishes her the very best for her future work in this role.”
