MID FIFE & GLENROTHES MSP RAISES AWARENESS OF DIGITAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Jenny Gilruth, MSP for Mid Fife & Glenrothes, is raising awareness of National Digital Learning Week to encourage more people to talk advantage of the opportunities for learning through digital technology.

The National Digital Learning Week 2017 will take place from Monday 15th to Friday 19th May. The week is a celebration of how digital technology can have a positive impact on learning and teaching, and encourages teachers and learners from all age groups to try using digital technology for learning.

Commenting, Jenny Gilruth MSP said:

“As a former teacher, I know how valuable steps forward in digital technology have been for education. I’m always keen to encourage new learners to seek new opportunities for learning, as I know how valuable and rewarding the learning process can be. It’s always great to learn new things and develop new skills.

“This week is a fantastic opportunity for local people in Mid Fife & Glenrothes to try digital learning for themselves. Whether it’s signing up for an online course or learning new IT skills, there are huge opportunities out there and lots of support – especially in our schools, community centres and local libraries.

“I’d encourage everyone to use this week to give digital learning a try.”
