MOTION TO CONGRATULATE CHAMPION DRUMMER FIONA RITCHIE

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-06110: “Fiona Ritchie from Milton of Balgonie, Chapmion Drummer”) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the success of Fiona Ritchie on winning her first national trophy at the UK Pipe Band Championships in Belfast.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament congratulates winner Fiona Ritchie, who is from Milton of Balgonie, on winning her first national trophy at the UK Pipe Band Championships in Belfast, at which she competed as a drummer with the Wallacestone and District Pipe Band, which won Grade 3A title; recognises that Fiona’s son, Kyle, also took part as a member of the People’s Ford Boghall and Bathgate Juvenile Pipe Band, which finished fourth in its bracket, and wishes Fiona and Kyle, and their bands, every success.”
