A92 SAFETY CAMPAIGNERS MEET TRANSPORT MINISTER WITH LOCAL MSP

Published date : 24 Mar 2017

At a meeting secured by the Glenrothes MSP at the Scottish Parliament on 23rd March, Humza Yousaf MSP met with members of the North Glenrothes Community Council and Jenny Gilruth MSP to discuss vital road improvements to the A92, in particular at the Balfarg junction and at Cadham.

Commenting after the meeting Jenny Gilruth MSP declared “This was an extremely positive meeting. I was very pleased to hear the Minister give an assurance that he wants to see action taken on this stretch of road, stating that “one fatality on our roads is one too many”.

The Scottish Government now await the results of Transport Scotland’s conflict study, due to be issued in the summer of 2017. This will give the Government data required to make the road safer for those of us who live in the communities surrounding the A92.”
